The Camera, the case & the Lens:

Canon S80 camera

Canon WP DC1 case waterproof rated 40m/130 ft.

A Sea & Sea Nikonos Wide Angle Converter, intended for the Nikonos 35 mm, lens, it gives a 15mm. full field coverage. With the S80 zoom to Wide (28 mm. equivalent lens) you get a fish eye style circle. Zooming in just une point (35 mm. equivalent lens) full field returns and there is almost no vigneting at the frame corners.

The Wide Angle Holder:

The holder is based in two threaded aluminum parts. The first one is the ring, that has a small flap in its lower side that is treaded to the second part, an aluminum strap with one of his ends folde 90º in a 58º angle, with a groove to fix it to the tripod/accesory thread with a butterfly bolt, it makes it usable with gloves on.

The ring is profiled with a coping saw from a 5 mm. thick aluminum plate. The big hole holds a 58mm. filter mount (glas retired) fixed with three small bolts from an old cell phone.

The guide is made of a 30mm large and 3 mm. thick alu plate, bended 90º, with a flap turmed 58º and a fence that, loosening a bit the fixing screw, allows the adapter to turn enough to get rid of the lens, parking it on the case side.
